35. Finlandia

Kolejna fińska pocztówka :) Tym razem są to słodkie kociaki wysłane z Helsinek. 
Helsinki to stolica i największe miasto Finlandii. Położone na południu kraju, nad Zatoką Fińską. Liczba mieszkańców wynosi niecałe 600 tysięcy. Miasto jest głównym ośrodkiem przemysłu, kultury i administracji. Tutejszy uniwersytet został założony w 1828 roku. W całym mieście znajduje się ponad 35 muzeów, w tym, muzeum hotelarstwa. 

Here's my another Finnish postcard :) This time it's two cute cats sent from Helsinki. Helsinki is the capital and the largest city of Finland. Located on the south of the country, just by the Gulf of Finland.  The city's population is less than 600 thousand. The city is a major centre of industry, culture and administration. Its university was founded in 1828. There is over 35 museums here, including the museum of hotel industry.

Swego czasu przeżyłam istne zatrzęsienie kartek z Muminkami :) Nie narzekam, bo te sympatyczne trolle są bohaterami mojej, nadal ulubionej, bajki. Z radością odkryłam, że w Polsce kilka lat temu została wydana gra komputerowa z ich przygodami. Już chyba wiem na co będę polować ;)

Some time ago I experienced a real flood of Moomin postcards delivered to me :) I'm not complaining though because these lovely trolls are the heroes of a tale, that's still my favourite. I was happy to find out that a few years ago, a computer game with the adventures of these creatures was released in Poland. I now know what I'll be looking for in the shop ;)

24. Finlandia

Renifer jest ssakiem z rodziny jeleniowatych. Niektórzy badacze wyróżniają do 24 gatunków reniferów, inni uznają jedynie 3 gatunki ( renifer tundrowy, renifer leśny eurazjatycki i renifer leśny amerykański). 

Renifer występujący w północnej Europie, został udomowiony przez ludy północy wieki temu jako cenne źródło mięsa, mleka (2-3 litry dziennie) i skóry a także jako siła pociągowa. Skóra służyła do szycia ubrań czy namiotów a a z kości konstruowano szkielety namiotów i kajaków. Stada reniferów żyją w stanie dzikim, ale dwa razy do roku zapędzane są do zagród : raz w celu oznakowania młodych a drugi raz w celu selekcji na ubój. Tak, tak jak my wcinamy bigos tak tam ktoś wcina renifery. 

Uwielbiam ten znaczek, przypomina mojego psa - Teodora. 

Reindeer is a mammal of the deer family. While some scholars distuinguish 24 species of them, others recognize only three species ( tundra reindeer, Eurasian forest reindeer and American forest reindeer).  Reindeer found in northern Europe was domisticated ages ago by people of the North as a valuable source of meet, milk (2-3 litres per day), skin as well as the pulling force. Their skin was used for sewing clother and tents, while bones were used for construction of kayaks and tents. Herds of animals live in the wilderness but twice a year are herded into pens : once for marking of the young and then again in order of selection for slaughter. So, as we munch on our roast, someone there munches on their reindeer.

I love the stamp, reminds me of my dog - Theodore. 

16. Finlandia

Dostałam tą kartkę w połowie zimnego i deszczowego stycznia kiedy słońce nie szczyciło nas swoją obecnością a kiedy zobaczyłam moją kartkę uśmiech zagościł na mojej twarzy, dlatego, że jest to moja pierwsza Muminkowa pocztówka a także dlatego bo wydaje się bardzo optymistyczna i radosna. Chyba wszyscy znają tą białą rodzinę trolli z dużymi pyskami, które przypominają trochę hipcie. Tekst na pocztówce mówi nam, że 'to twój dzień żeby błyszczeć'. Uwielbiam Muminki, oglądałam je kiedy byłam młodsza i wydaje mi się, że w Finlandii jest park rozrywki poświęconym tym wdzięcznym stworzeniom - Świat Muminków. (Mamo wiem, że to czytasz więc pamiętaj, że chciałabym tam pojechać;))




I got this postcard in the middle of a cold and rainy January when the sun didn't make an appearance too often and as soon as I saw it, it put a smile on my face :) First, because it was my first Moomin postcard, second because it was really optimistic.  I'm pretty sure everyone knows this family of trolls who are white and roundish with large snouts that make them resemble hippopotamuses. The text on the front says :it's your day to shine. I love Moomins, I watched them when I was younger and as far as I know there is a theme park called Moomin World in Finland which I'd love to visit some day ( mom I know you're reading this so keep this in mind;))

14. Finlandia

I'm not too sure if I like this postcard. Actually I dont't even know what it is supposed to bo showing. Anyway, I know it travelled for 24 days and was sent from a Finnish beach town Hameenlinna. It was founded in 1639 by Pietari Brahe. The most famous Finnish composer, Jean Sibelius was born here.


Nie wiem czy podoba mi się ta kartka. W sumie, nie jestem nawet pewna co ona przedstawia. Wiem napewno, że podróżowała przez 24 dni i została wysłana z fińskiego miasta Hameenlinna. Hameenlinna ma prawa miejskie od 1639 roku. Słynny fiński kompozytor, Jean Sibelius, stąd pochodzi.
